Catherine Hechmer is an MSW, Licensed Independent Social Worker-Supervisor and Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor-Clinical Supervisor who works concurrently as the Interprofessional Education and Practice Coordinator for the College of Social Work at The Ohio State University, and as a social worker at Total Health and Wellness, a Federally Qualified Health Center run as a collaboration between the College of Nursing and OSU Family Medicine. Ms. Hechmer became interested in interprofessional education and practice through her work as a supervisor and curriculum developer on a MEDTAPP-funded grant to train MSW students to provide integrated behavioral healthcare in primary care settings.
