IP Collaborative Scholarship Part I: Fundamentals and a Framework for Collaborations

Wednesday, August 5, 2020, 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. EDT

We are all working hard, both individually and collectively, to improve interprofessional practice and education. However, despite best efforts, progress is slow, and outcomes remain variable. Collaborative scholarship provides opportunities to widen access to a greater number of techniques used for research and more efficient learning, brings more experience to bear upon a problem/issue, and promotes creativity and effective problem-solving.

This session is an introduction to IPECP collaborative scholarship and will emphasize enablers of IPECP collaborative scholarship, an orientation to an implementation science framework for collaborative research, an opportunity to initiate planning a collaborative research project, and steps to take to strengthen professional development and potential career advancement.

IP Collaborative Scholarship Part II: Looking for Collaborators in All the Right Places

Wednesday, August 5, 2020, 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. EDT

Bringing an interprofessional team together to successfully complete a research project will put your leadership and mentoring skills to the test. This intermediate/advanced seminar will provide a brief overview of collaborative scholarship, identify gaps within knowledge and practice in IPECP, discuss strategies for successful collaborations, and develop potential opportunities for IP collaborative scholarship partnerships.

Note: Interprofessional Continuing Education Credit is available for attendees of the Short Course and AIHC Seminars, and will be claimed by completing an Evaluation and CE Attestation that will be emailed to attendees at the close of the sessions.
