Leaning In to Our Upended World

Thursday, August 20, 2020, 3:45 pm - 4:45 pm EDT
The recording of this session does not qualify for Interprofessional Continuing Education credit due to the length of the final recorded session, which excludes breakout rooms which are not able to be recorded.

The Nexus Summit 2020 is providing us with opportunities to lean in to – and not run away from – this year’s big surprises that upended our world.  Being optimistic about IPE, Drs. Brandt and Arenson challenge us to provide input and comment throughout the meeting with a call to action on four major themes:

  • Interprofessional collaboration
  • Diversity, disparities and equity
  • Patient, families, caregivers, communities, populations
  • Galvanizing Systemic Change

Your reflections throughout the two weeks of the August portion of the Nexus Summit 2020 will shape the final plenary.  This interactive session will synthesize the input from what we have learned with, from, and about each other over two weeks.  Your ideas around these four themes will inform the strategic priorities of the National Center and lead to new initiatives to engage our communities of interprofessional practice. As an immediate next step, the 2020 Innovation Challenge, in partnership with the Smith Group, will create an exciting opportunity for teams to engage in a structured design thinking process to further their local work. Come join the conversation!
