Alisa Bjorkman is a 2020 graduate of the MGH Institute of Health Professions (IHP) entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy program. Her capstone focused on simulated learning experiences in education, interprofessional communication, and program development and management. She was also actively involved in the interprofessional curriculum as both a student and then lead peer facilitator and played an integral role in supporting faculty and students navigate the pivot to online teaching

Student peer facilitation is an invaluable active learning approach in interprofessional education that positively influences student engagement and learning, as well as enhances communication and teamwork skills among future health care providers.
