Amin is an educator passionate about maximizing every learner’s potential. He enjoys immersive and collaborative forms of train_x000D_
ing, including simulation, Problem-Based Learning (PBL), and interprofessional education (IPE). He strongly believes that acknowledging our human imperfections makes us more vulnerable but also collectively more forgiving and connected as teams. Laughing together with good wine also helps! Amin is also on faculty at UCSF in the School of Medicine, and at UC Berkeley in the School of Public Health at the UC Berkeley – UCSF Joint Medical Program (JMP).

Samuel Merritt University has been a national hub for the Camden Coalition Student Hotspotting program since 2015. During thattime, while student interest is high in participating in the Hotspotting program, volunteer recruitment that represents interprofessionalteams has been difficult to obtain. In 2018, a internal grant was obtained to pilot implementation into one course in the school ofnursing as part of the course IPE assignments. In the fall semester of 2019, Hotspotting became part of the requirements in apopulation health course for undergraduate nursing. Twenty four students…
