Dr. Carolyn McClerking is the founding director of The Ohio State University Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Specialty and is a certified nurse practitioner at OSU Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital working with Blood and Marrow transplant patients . She holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing and Broadcast Journalism from Mississippi University for Women, a Master of Science in nursing from University of Michigan and a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from University of Alabama. She is a 20-year Veteran of the United States Army Reserve. Research interests include inter-professional simulation and cardiovascular disease prevention in Veteran minority women.
