Casey Gallimore, PharmD, MS is an Associate Professor and Co-Director of the School’s Interprofessional Education Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy. Dr. Gallimore’s teaching efforts are focused in skills-based instruction, interprofessional education and mental health pharmacy. Her scholarly interests include advancement and assessment of integrated pharmacy services within primary care, and scholarship of teaching and learning. Dr. Gallimore is an ambulatory care pharmacist at Access Community Health Center in Madison, WI. In this role she contributes to mental health population-based care initiatives in collaboration with the clinic’s behavioral health team.

In clinical environments, learners often separate into profession specific settings, mirroring the unfortunate reality of a fragmented health care system. While health professionals assume responsibility for serving the same patients, they do so in separate spaces, often without the shared tools necessary to provide coordinated care.
