Catherine Demko, PhD is an Associate Professor in the Department of Community Dentistry at the CWRU School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Demko serves as a Co-Investigator and Lead Evaluator on the ILEAP project, funded by the Josiah Macy Jr. Foundation and the Key Bank Foundation. She is an epidemiologist who has served as a PI and Co-I on NIH funded initiatives for oral health, health promotion, and practice change. She is experienced in direct obaservation methods for assessment and evaluation.

Effective interprofessional (IP) experiences in the clinical learning environment are needed to enhance student competence in communication and collaboration. This talk will describe a core set of activities and assessment developed to optimize the learning and application of team-based skills in the clinical environment.
