For the past 10 years, Christi Crego-Ritter has been providing maternal child health home visiting services in her public health nurse senior role. Her population focus has been advocating for the vulnerable population of chemically dependent pregnant women, who have vast needs requiring intensive case management through interprofessional consultation & collaboration with the community in rural MN. Christi received her bachelor of science degree from the College of St. Scholastica, her Master of Science in nursing from Benedictine University, and recently her doctor of nursing practice degree from St. Catherine University.

Background: Interprofessional barriers negatively impacted the delivery of coordinated services and quality of care in a public health nurse (PHN) and licensed alcohol drug counselor (LADC) Collaborative serving chemically dependent pregnant women in a rural county of Minnesota.
