Dr. David Persaud is a professor in the School of Health Administration at Dalhousie University and is cross-appointed to the Department of Ophthalmology. David’s research and published works include the areas of performance driven organizational change; organizational learning, innovation, adaptation, and sustainability; integration of health services; and interprofessional health education. His interest in psychological safety relates to the fact that it is an integral aspect of each of his areas of research.

Creating Psychological Safety in Interprofessional Simulation: Lessons Learned from a Scoping Review
Simulation-based education (SBE) has been used to augment and/or partially substitute clinical learning as it provides a controlled setting with natural, realistic, and relevant practice experiences, without risk of injurious patient consequences. Interprofessional SBE (IP-SBE) provides a platform for students to learn about, from, and with one another to develop and practice interprofessional collaborative (IPC) competencies.
