Debra Mattison obtained her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan, School of Social Work and is currently an associate clinical professor at the University of Michigan, School of Social Work. Her teaching and research areas of interest include integrated health, loss and grief and interprofessional education. She serves as a member of both the Executive Committee and the Curriculum Committee of the UM Center for Interprofessional Education.

The impact of introductory experiences on student attitudes about IPE has been demonstrated in a variety of institutional settings and health science professions. Typically, the effectiveness of IPE experiences has been assessed within a single cohort.
