Dr. Riccio Leach, DDS, MS, was a practicing dentist and Orthodontics specialist in Italy for 16 years before coming to the United States and receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree as international dentist at UT Health San Antonio, School of Dentistry in 2016. She is Assistant Professor/Clinical at the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry. She is responsible for the clinical instruction of dental students in their patient care activities, and for introductory clinical courses to pre-clinical students. Dr Riccio Leach practices as a provider at the UT Dentistry Faculty Practice Clinic.

BACKGROUND: The next generation of health care workers will require interprofessional education (IPE) to prepare for interprofessional collaborative practice (IPCP).
