Elizabeth (Ibby) Tanner, PhD, RN, FAAN, is the Inaugural Director of Interprofessional Education and Collaborative Practice at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing where she has led the development and implementation of IPE requirements. Dr. Tanner is PI of an IPE grant in which she is developing online IPE simulations, and is co-PI of a grant to study outcomes of the implementation of structured interprofessional bedside rounds.

Responding to COVID19 Induced Limitations in Nursing Student Clinical Experiences : Using Online IPE Simulations for Clinical Experiences
This presentation describes the adaptation of IPE modules to meet statewide pre-licensure nursing student educational needs for clinical learning experiences during the COVID19 epidemic. To maintain patient, staff and student safety, in March 2020, health care systems were unable to allow students into clinical sites for the remainder semester.
