Ella Miller is a fourth-year dental student at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. While she is enjoying her time in the Sooner State, she was raised in a small, rural town called California, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri-Columbia and obtained a BS in Biochemistry and an MS in Agriculture Education, Communication and Leadership. During her three years on the OU Health Sciences Center campus, she has fulfilled the duties of Oklahoma Association of Women Dentist’s Class Representative, the Diversity Council Vice President, the American Association of Women Dentist’s President and the Unity Clinic Dental Co-Chair.
Presenting at the Nexus Summit:
Using the example of the Unity Clinic at The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, this seminar will introduce participants to methods for student engagement in designing and implementing student-led clinical practice for interprofessional clinical learning. The Unity Clinic aims to provide meaningful, interprofessional, clinical experience with real-world applications. The project began in Spring 2017 with the ultimate vision of an interdisciplinary, mobile, student-led clinic.
