Erik Black is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Education at the University of Florida College of Medicine. He serves as the Associate Director of the Office of Interprofessional Education at the University of Florida Health Science Center and as a Cross-Continuum Consultant for the Association of American Medical Colleges. Dr. Black maintains an active research agenda focused on the evaluation and assessment of learning and learning environments across a broad range of ages and life stages. He has authored more than 100 journal articles, book chapters and technical reports and one book, Social Media in Medicine.

The University of Florida Care One clinic provides interprofessionally-coordinated health services for medically complex individuals who are frequent utilizers of the institution’s emergency department. In the Fall of 2019, the clinic added dental screening services to address patients’ oral health needs.
