Gina Bryan, DNP, APRN, FAAN, is a Clinical Professor and the Director of the Post-Graduate Psychiatry Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Nursing. Dr. Bryan maintains an active clinical practice in community psychiatry at Rock County Mental Health. Her scholarly interests are currently focused on novel health care provider collaborations to improve access to medication assisted treatment for the treatment of substance use disorders. Dr. Bryan has a 5-year appointment on the National Academy of Science, Engineering and Medicine CARA legislation work group. She earned her BSN, MS and DNP from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

In clinical environments, learners often separate into profession specific settings, mirroring the unfortunate reality of a fragmented health care system. While health professionals assume responsibility for serving the same patients, they do so in separate spaces, often without the shared tools necessary to provide coordinated care.
