Heidi Sanborn is Clinical Associate Professor and Director of the RN-BSN and Concurrent Enrollment Program (CEP) in the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation at Arizona State University. Her career began in business before following her heart and becoming a nurse over 20 years ago. Her career path has been nontraditional, proving that there is no one right way to build your nursing career. This philosophy has shaped her beliefs about how to educate the nurse of the future._x000D_ Since the moving to Arizona in 2009, Heidi has taught at the clinical and academic settings across associate, baccalaureate, and Master’s program. She has earned a DNP in innovation leadership from ASU, and now serves as a mentor to other doctoral students. She is actively involved with the Arizona Nurses Association, currently in the vice president role, and sits on the American Nurses Association Nominations and Elections Committee. _x000D_ She has served as faculty at ASU since 2013, and during that time has held a variety of leadership roles in college committees, become a Quality Matters Peer Reviewer, and earned designation as a Certified Nurse Educator. She focuses her scholarship efforts on interprofessional leadership, education, and practice through publications and presentations in a variety of national and international forums.

Their community of employees are essential to the power supply for a significant portion of the southwestern US, positioning them at the center of this newly formed community of care.
