Jeff Jackson has been working in higher education for 20 years and has been the Director of Evaluation for the Undergraduate Medical Education Curriculum at the University of Texas Health Long School of Medicine for the past four years. Jeff contributes to the evaluation of courses, internal outcomes research, provides data and support to the curriculum committee, and assists faculty with education related research projects.

The oral health examination is proposed to be essential to medical education and a Healthy People 2020 indicator, though not routinely taught.
