Dr. Jennifer Timm is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Winona State University and the Director of Bridges Health. Dr. Timm received her Masters of Science in Nursing Education and Doctor of Nursing Practice from Winona State University. Dr. Timm's background includes community and public health, community mental health and substance use, clinic administration and leadership, caring for uninsured populations, and nursing education. She has been involved in leading initiatives increasing access to outpatient mental health and substance use services, integrating mental health and substance use clinical care, and implementing a variety of evidence-based preventive health practices within the community setting. Dr. Timm is the founder of Bridges Health, an innovative clinical education model. The model brings necessary preventive health services to those in need, while responsibly educating interprofessional health profession students and this model has become a robust inteprprofessional clinical education model serving students, faculty, and the community.
