Jessica Dobbins, DrPH, MA joined Humana Inc. in 2015, her work on Humana’s Research and Publications team included various health care payment models and health outcomes. Dr. Dobbins served as a Senior Research Consultant for Humana Research (2015-18), and currently supports strategic academic partnerships, as a Strategy Advancement Advisor for the Office of Health Affairs and Advocacy, Humana. She is particularly interested in the integration of public health and primary care and the impact of multi-sector partnerships on population health.

While preventive and management measures are important to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, strategies like social distancing can have devastating effects on older adults who are already at risk for social isolation and loneliness. In response, the University of Houston Colleges of Social Work and Medicine leveraged a partnership with Humana, Inc in collaboration with Papa Inc. to address social isolation and loneliness in Houston-area older adults.
