Kimatha Grice, OTD, OTR, CHT, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Therapy, UT Health in San Antonio, Texas. She has been an O.T. for 40 years and a certified hand therapist for 29. She began teaching in 1995 and continues to participate in faculty practice. She was honored with a Presidential award for Excellence in Teaching in 2001, inducted into the Academy of Master Teachers in 2008 and named as a Distinguished Teaching Professor by the UT System in 2010. In 2017, she was honored with the Presidential Award for Distinguished Service to the Institution.

Background: Currently, aspects of ergonomics, including how different health professionals work to prevent musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), are taught to first-year dental students (DS1s), occupational therapy students (OTs) and physical therapy students (PTs) uniprofessionally at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UT Health San Antonio).
