Dr. Kristen McHenry is a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) that specializes in Adult Critical Care. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Cardiopulmonary Science in 2005, Master of Science in Allied Health in 2013, and Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership in 2017, all from East Tennessee State University. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Allied Health Sciences and Director of Clinical Education for the Cardiopulmonary Science program. She serves as a faculty facilitator for the Interprofessional program at ETSU. Research interests include mentoring, interprofessional education and practice, respiratory compromise in ALS, telehealth, simulation, and provider burnout.

In the online environment, learners may not live in the same location, which is challenging for interprofessional education.
