Lark A. Ford joined the nursing faculty at UT Health San Antonio in fall 2006. She is a supporter of interprofessional education. Since 2009, Lark worked with her interprofessional colleagues on a research project entitled RESPECT: Realizing Enhanced Student Inter-Professional Education through Clinical Teamwork. This program was designed for medical, dental, dental hygiene and nursing students to work in interprofessional teams while serving an underserved community in San Antonio, Texas. Since fall 2018, Lark has represented the School of Nursing on the Linking Interprofessional Networks for Collaboration Faculty Council, a core component of the institution's Quality Enhancement Plan.

BACKGROUND: COVID-19-associated social distancing practices necessitated significantly altering a previously planned large-scale interprofessional education (IPE) activity for approximately 1000 students at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
