Lena Maynor, PharmD, BCPS, is the Director of Student Affairs and Academic Initiatives at West Virginia University Health Sciences Center and a Clinical Associate Professor at WVU School of Pharmacy. Dr. Maynor has served in leadership roles, including service on the WVU Health Sciences Interprofessional Education (IPE) Steering Committee and the IPE Week Planning Committee. Dr. Maynor’s accomplishments include the School of Pharmacy 2009, 2012, and 2015 Outstanding Teaching Award, 2014 WVU School of Pharmacy Outstanding Achievements in Service Award, induction into the WVU Health Science Center Teaching Academy of Excellence in 2010, and the 2020 WVU Health Science Center Excellence in Interprofessional Education Faculty/Staff Award.

Background and Objective: Use of gaming has been shown to have a positive impact on higher education; however, data on the use of gaming activities in interprofessional health sciences education is lacking. The objective of this study was to describe the development and implementation of an interdisciplinary gaming activity to enhance learning and develop teamwork skills.
