Megan Mahowald, PhD, CCC-SLP is an Associate Professor and Department Chair at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Dr. Mahowald is a certified, licensed speech-language pathologist. Camp Maverick: Rec N’ Read is a collaborative, interprofessional practice in which multiple health and educational disciplines work together to provide recreation and literacy support to youth regardless of socioeconomic status or disability across a variety of clinical service models. This is a full day, summer camp designed to increase literacy skills in elementary-aged youth through literacy and recreation activities.
