Pamela Walter, MFA, is a writer and educator in the Office for Professional Writing, Publishing, and Communication and Adjunct Faculty in the Jefferson College of Life Sciences at Thomas Jefferson University. Primarily, she supports faculty and staff seeking to publish manuscripts, develop posters, or create relevant presentations in their discipline. Using time management skills she honed as a consultant for FrankinCovey, Pam designs and delivers project management and commnication workshops to facilitate professional productivity. Background: Faculty face time constraints and, in some cases, limited training and experience that can hinder their efforts to publish scholarly research. Nevertheless, the 2015 IOM report was a “call to action” for more robust research and scholarship to advance the interprofessional education (IPE) field.
