Reidun L. S. Kjome is Head of the Centre for Pharmacy, and an associate professor of pharmacy practice at the Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care, both at the University of Bergen, Norway. Research interests include medication use in the elderly, interprofessional collaboration and pharmacy services.

Background
Most universities and university colleges provide interprofessional (IP) courses for their students, and many countries have regulations requiring higher educational institutions to provide IP courses. While described learning outcomes are often similar across the institutions, the course design varies considerably from site to site.
The aim was to compare students’ learning outcomes as measured by the Interprofessional Collaborative Competencies Attainment Survey (ICCAS) between the different IP courses in Norway and to correlate possible differences to course design.

The Centre for interprofessional work-place learning (TVEPS) in Bergen, Norway, offers interprofessional workplace learning for students from health and social welfare professions from the University of Bergen and Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. TVEPS practice will now be compulsory for all health and social welfare professions students in Bergen �" expanding from 200 to 1000 students pr year.
