Rita Morelli is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of Experiential Education at MCPHS University. For the last two years she has served as co-chair of the Interprofessional Education (IPE) Committee and has scholarly interests in interprofessional education and collaboration. Since 2017, she has precepted an IPE Experience that focuses on interprofessional collaboration between pharmacy students and the dental at a dental clinic.

Background: Most pharmacy student experiential IPE occurs in a naturally occurring and non-deliberate fashion. Opportunities for interprofessional teamwork may be limited to the rotational environment and access to other disciplines and their students.
