Dr. Ryan H. Pasternak graduated from The College of William and Mary, received his medical doctorate from Eastern Virginia Medical School, masters of public health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, completed a residency in pediatrics with LSUHSC, and a clinical fellowship in adolescent medicine at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He is currently Clerkship Director for the LSUHSC and Tulane SOM Adolescent Medicine medical student and resident rotations, Section Head of General Ambulatory Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine section of the Department of Pediatrics at LSUHSC, and faculty advisor of the New Orleans Adolescent Reproductive Health Project.

The New Orleans Adolescent Reproductive Health Project is a community service project that provides free comprehensive reproductive health education to adolescents in the local New Orleans community. The organization operates as an interprofessional student-run entity, where different professions such as nursing, medicine, PhD, and public health collaborate to achieve a common goal.
