Sarah was a member at St Louis College of Pharmacy 2005-2006 and then returned to the South Carolina College of Pharmacy- MUSC campus in Charleston, SC from 2006-2012 where she was promoted to associate professor. She returned to her alma mater and joined faculty at KU School of Pharmacy in 2012. Her clinical areas of interest include most anything related to primary care/family medicine with a particular interest in diabetes and women’s health.

Since the release of the IPEC competencies in 2011 (IPEC, 2011 and 2016), the addition of interprofessional education to many health professions education programs requirements (Vlasses & Zorek, 2016), and the recommendations of the Joint Accreditors Collaborative in 2019, there has been an increase in the integration of interprofessional curriculum and experiences (Greer et al, 2014; Congdon, 2016).
