He received his Doctorate of Medical Science, DMSc, from the University of Lynchburg, Lynchburg, VA. His interests include case-based learning, primary care, clinical doctorate education for physician assistants, and interprofessional education.

Authors responded to a call for proposals related to global curricular engagement in higher education, receiving a grant for course development and delivery.
