Sheila Cardente-Capece, is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a master’s degree in Clinical Social Work and Public Policy. Sheila started Integrated Behavioral Health at a Community Health Center and was the Lead Renal Social Worker starting the Social Work Departments at the two Outpatient Dialysis Centers of RI Hospital. Sheila was the founding Director of Victim Services at the Nonviolence Institute where she worked with families of homicide victims, and first the Director of Mental Health Services at Providence Head Start. Currently, Sheila works in private practice and is the Project Specialist at the Interprofessional Community Preceptor Institute

Presenting at the Nexus Summit:

This project deepened learning opportunities for preceptors and students in nontraditional IPE community-based settings by focusing on IPE and how it can promote better outcomes for population health and social determinants of health affecting clients/ patients and families of their organizations.
