Susan McKee, DNP, RN is a second career nurse after working in higher education administration, pre-professional advising/counseling and health career recruitment. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University College of Nursing with 10 years of experience teaching associate degree, pre-licensure BSN, RN to BSN, and MSN courses, in women’s and mental health, nursing education, and professional issues. Clinical interests include efforts to improve the nursing student experience, teaching innovation, mindfulness, and postpartum depression. She is the primary creator of the Enhanced Engagement Simulation Model, implemented and under evaluation, with colleagues in medicine and nursing.
