Tony is a graduating PA student who played a critical role in the student-run simulation lab as a student preceptor. Tony has working in the medical field since 2009 when he started as a medic in the Army. Since then he has graduated from Colorado State University with a bachelor’s in health and exercise science and a master's in microbiology. He is striving to become either an emergency medicine or trauma physician assistant.

Background/Purpose:Medical simulations and training have been used to educate medical students and professionals since the early 1950s (1,2). Numerous studies on graduate level medical education have shown the benefit of using high-fidelity simulations to enhance and facilitate patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning, interpersonal and communication skills, professionalism and systems-based practice (3,4,5).
