The Social Science of Interprofessional Practice, Collaboration and Education

Presenters in this track will focus on current thinking behind scholarship, research and theoretical underpinnings of interprofessional practice, education and collaboration.  Topics include:  interprofessional identity formation and the relationship with interprofessional clinical learning environments, stereotypes about professions, respect and understanding of professions other than ones own, bias, prejudice and culture.  Discussions will focus on the practical implications of these important issues for practice settings and academic IPE programs.
