Darlene Bellers is the Manager of the Eagle Nutrition Services Office and Lecturer in the Dietetics and Human Nutrition Program at Eastern Michigan University. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Board Certified Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management. She uses her expertise and background to partner with students and faculty across the campus to develop innovative interdisciplinary programming and meaningful interprofessional educational experiences.

In order to address the social, biological and psychological risks to older adults aging in place, a multidisciplinary approach to support successful aging is needed. Furthermore, students in various disciplinary programs can develop knowledge and skills to address the needs of older adults that cross professional silos.
