Kate Weber earned her MS in Health Infrastrures and Learning Systems from the University of Michigan. Her work focuses on integrating health data sets from disparate sources in order to break down the technical and cultural silos that separate oral health data from the main body of patient health information. She is employed by the UM School of Dentistry and is currently working on applying Natural Language Processing tools and techniques to unstructured data. She is also focused on developing effective tools for communicating complex information using visualization and data exploration tools.
